Dexam Terracotta Bread Baker with Lid, 31cm

Bake perfect loaves at home with the Dexam terracotta bread baker. It replicates a traditional brick oven for loaves with crispy crusts and soft middles.

This bread baker couldn’t be easier to use. Place your proved dough inside and bake until golden. The domed lid traps steam and maintains an even baking temperature. Even novice bakers can create delicious homemade loaves.

Why choose the Dexam bread baker?

  • Delivers consistent baking results
  • Oven safe up to 220°C
  • Replicates a traditional brick bread oven
  • Domed lid traps steam and maintains an even temperature
  • Ridged base stops dough from sticking

Terracotta is one of the oldest materials used to make cooking vessels. It retains heat and moisture and is ideal for baking and slow cooking.

How to season the baker before first use:

  • Soak in warm water for 30 minutes
  • Leave to dry, then apply a coat of vegetable oil to the inside of the base and lid
  • Place into a cold oven and bake at 200°C for 20 minutes
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool

Wash by hand. Unglazed terracotta can absorb fats and oils and may stain over time.
