The intensely fruity olive oil is made from cold-pressed Coratina olives – a variety native to the Apulia region of Italy. This is where the Frantoio Muraglia olive groves are located. Coratina olives are unique in that they contain three times more antioxidant polyphenols than any other Italian olive variety. This gives the oil its intense flavour, with spicy notes and hints of astringency.
The rooster terracotta bottle is the newest design from Frantoio Murgalia’s stunning hand-painted terracotta bottle collection. Every bottle is handmade, so each one is unique. The terracotta also helps to keep the olive oil tasting its best, by protecting it from light.
Drizzle the fruttato intense olive oil over roasted Mediterranean vegetables or grilled fish for a fresh olive flavour. It works beautifully over salads or as part of the dressing. Combine with balsamic and dip in fresh sourdough for a classic but unmatched starter dish.
