Enjoy a Swiss cheese feast with the Netherton Foundry fondue set. Made from their signature spun iron, it’s the perfect size for 2-4 people. It comes with four stainless steel forks with ebonised oak handles.
The base features a tealight or chafing fluid holder. You can melt your cheese on the hob and then use a candle to keep it warm at the table. Use oven gloves when transporting the pot as the handles can get hot.
For best results, use cheeses that melt easily, such as Gruyère and Emmental. Add a splash of white wine or Kirsch, as they do in Switzerland. Use the steel forks to dunk bread and potatoes into the bubbling cheese.
The pot can be used on all kinds of hob, including induction. In addition to fondue, you can also use it to make sauces like custard.
Spun iron is lighter than cast iron but with the same patina-building qualities. It becomes more non-stick over time. It’s extremely durable and easy to care for. The pot is pre-seasoned so you can use it straight away.
