Ground green cardamom has a sweet, spicy flavour and powerful aroma. You can use it to flavour baked goods, hot drinks and savoury dishes. Add a pinch to cake batter or a mug of hot chocolate for a hint of warming spice.

Cardamom is the second most expensive in the world after saffron. This is because it’s grown in remote, hard-to-reach places. Mill & Mortar sources their cardamom from the Sri Lankan rainforest.

In Indian cuisine, cardamom is used to flavour curries like lamb korma and masala murgh. You will also find it in desserts, such as kulfi and kheer.

Try adding ground green cardamom to custard or a vanilla panna cotta. Pair it with white chocolate in cakes and cookies or add it to homemade ice cream.
