Made with tomatoes, herbs and a little salt, this ready-to-use sauce is sweet and with a little bitterness, great for spooning straight onto pizza bases, whether it’s homemade sourdough or fluffy flatbreads.
Mutti is a household name in Italy, and has been supplying the country’s homecooks with great quality tomato products for more than 150 years. In 1850 Giovanni Mutti pioneered a large-scale crop rotation method of farming, which allowed the soil to recover between each harvest. Today, the company grows tomatoes across the Italian Emilia Romagna region and produces tinned tomatoes, passata and concentrates.
